Dr. Hamaker in the Biology Department Greenhouse. (Randolph College Archives)

The Randolph College Herbarium has been a central feature of the natural history collections from the beginning. From the 1950s to the 1980s, the herbarium collections were organized and expanded through the efforts of Dr. Dorothy Bliss, and offer an extensive and diverse sampling of species found in the Eastern United States, particularly the region of Central Virginia.
