In addition to biological and geological specimens, the Department of Biology is home to an excellent collection of vintage scientific teaching materials, dating back to the college’s founding in the late 19th century.
Among these are over 50 beautifully illustrated botanical and zoological charts. Slides for microscopes and lanterns, as well as beeswax and wooden models, are among the other teaching materials of interest.
